Congratulations Marco Reed!

Marco Reed has been accepted as an Alumni for the 2010 National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP) Youth Leadership Summit in Washington DC.
Mr. Crockett's 3rd and 5th period African American History classes participated in a Reading Sit-In.

As they learned about the Civil Rights Movement and non violent resistance, Mr. Crockett decided to give his students an opportunity to learn about sit-ins by actually doing one. The sit-in aimed to decrease noise and it worked. The students worked on their Reading Skills as-well-as the skill of staying on task. This project was a huge success and Mr. Crockett looks forward to continuing to do work like this at Fenger High School.
